General Instructions

You can control the camera, by clicking the "Start Control" button. You can use the sliders to navigate or you can simply click in the image and the camera will automatically center.

Everyone has the possibility to control the web camera by distance via Web: the server gives access to one user at a time, while others watch and wait for their turn - very easy and enjoyable.

The image that you see is transmitted live by a Canon Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera.

It is possible to control the functions of the cameras through this Internet site for 90 seconds, waiting in line while others are using the camera. You have to wait for a green bar that countdowns your time to control the view. If the bar comes gray with a silhouette, it means that you have to wait your turn.

The quality of the images depends on the position of the sun and other meteorological conditions, reflecting exactly what you would see if you were there in person. A little rain may limit vision quality.

The web camera is controlled by a Canon LiveScope server that is able to transmit a live image via Internet, giving exclusive remote control via the Java applet.

Mac Users

The Webview Livescope Java applet does not always work on the Mac. Mac users can download the Webview Livescope Camera here and run the viewer as a stand alone application. After installing, launch the application and set the host name as 68.191.189.74 and http as 8080

Ensure you have the most recent version on Java Installed

Web Browser Issues

The Viewer for Java is automatically downloaded from the camera server, there is no need to install it in advance. However, depending on the type of Web browser you are using and your software settings, you may need to change your Web browser settings. The settings for your Web browser will vary depending on the version used.

Refer to the settings below and be sure to check your browser version:

USING INTERNET EXPLORER

Internet Explorer allows you to specify whether the use of Java is permitted. From the "Tools" menu, select " Internet Options" and click the "Advanced" tab. Then set "JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled" as the "Microsoft VM" setting. In Internet Explorer 5 or later, you must install the Java VM. If you are using Windows XP, you need to install ServicePack1 or later.

USING NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR OR COMMUNICATOR

Netscape Navigator and Netscape Communicator also have a setting that specifies whether the use of Java is permitted. Select "Preferences" from the "Edit " menu, click " Advanced" and then click in the "Enable Java " checkbox.
